Well, here we are, creeping ever closer to 2025, and I can’t think of a better way to start the year than getting one step closer to unleashing Without Light into the world. I’m beyond excited to share my progress and give you the inside scoop on what’s coming up in the months ahead.

January: The Manuscript, The Margins, and The Moment You've Been Waiting For

January is where it all comes together—the final version of my manuscript, formatting for print and ebook, and obsessing over margins like they hold the secrets of the universe. (They kind of do, if you ask me.) I’ve been researching formatting and all those sneaky little details that take a book from “simply words on pages” to a chef’s kiss reading experience. Good news? I’ve been creating my front matter and end matter along the way—like the overachiever I pretend not to be—so it’s mostly a matter of fine-tuning now.

Oh, and the COVER REVEAL. Yes, you read that correctly. I’ve been sitting on the final version for what feels like forever, and it’s time to let it shine. An incredible artist brought the cover illustration to life, but the finishing touches? All me, baby. I’ve poured over every last detail to make sure it’s exactly what I envisioned. So go ahead, judge this book by its cover—I want you to.

By the end of January, I also hope to lock in an official release date. Can you feel that? It’s happening.

February: ARCs, Pre-Orders, and All the Hype

February is where things get even more real. I’ll be opening up sign-ups for ARCs (Advance Reader Copies, for those not neck-deep in book publishing lingo), and let me just say—doing research on this part of the process has been so much fun. If there’s enough interest, I may even gather a little street team of early readers to hype up Without Light. (Official? Unofficial? Who cares? You’ll get to hold this book before anyone else, and that’s what matters.)

Speaking of early perks: I’ve got physical book boxes planned. Yes, BOOK BOXES. They’re going to be packed with all kinds of goodies, so you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for when I announce how you can snag one.

On top of that, I’ll be opening pre-orders (cue dramatic music). If you’re one of those early supporters who want to lock down your copy, February is your month.

And then it’s time to promote, promote, promote. You have no idea how much content I’ve been sitting on these past few months: movie-quality book trailers, character deep dives, world-building tidbits, and quotes that will hit you right in the feels. And trust me, you’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg.

March-April: Release Day Tears (The Happy Kind)

If all goes according to plan, March or April will be THE moment—Without Light will officially be out in the wild. There will be happy tears. There will be a celebratory dance (possibly off-camera, possibly not). And then…

I’ll get right back to work.

Because once you’ve finished Without Light and let the final pages sink in, I know what you’ll be asking: “Where’s book 2?” Don’t worry. Book 2 of The Sanctioned Series is already brewing, and I’ll be diving head first into my dystopian world of Sandric the second Without Light is out the door.

2025: The Year It All Comes Together

This whole journey—from late-night writing sessions to obsessing over every little detail (again, everything is IMPORTANT)—has been a labor of love, and I can’t wait to share it with you. If you’re not already following along, now’s the time to get on board.

Stay tuned for the cover reveal, ARC sign-ups, pre-orders, and all the content I’ve been holding back… because 2025 is going to be the year of Without Light.
